The Kansas Department of Commerce, city of Topeka and GO Topeka/Entrepreneurial and Minority Business Development will host a Business Opportunity Fair in Topeka on Nov. 6. The fair will connect small, minority and women owned businesses with procurement and contracting opportunities. It will also feature a series of workshops highlighting information to help small businesses grow.

WHO/WHAT: The Business Opportunity Fair will feature business exhibitors and outline project and contract opportunities around the state. Workshops will cover topics such as doing business with the state and federal governments, funding and financing a business, obtaining certifications and increasing minority business ownership through leadership.
WHEN/WHERE: Exhibits will open at 8:15 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 6. Workshops will begin at 9:15 and 10:45 a.m., and the fair will conclude at 2 p.m. The Business Opportunity Fair will be held at Maner Conference Center, Capitol Plaza Hotel, 1717 Southwest Topeka Boulevard, Topeka.
REGISTRATION INFORMATION: Individuals and businesses interested in attending the business fair should register by Oct. 30 at KansasCommerce.com/BusinessFair.
