The 2015 Kansas Energy Conference will be held Tuesday, Sept. 22, and Wednesday, Sept. 23, in Topeka. The conference will highlight the latest developments in the energy industry, including solar, oil and gas, efficiency, economic impact, transportation, wind, agriculture and water.
WHEN/WHERE: 8:30 a.m.-4:45 p.m., Sept. 22, and 9:30 a.m.-noon, Sept. 23 at the Capitol Plaza Hotel, 1717 Southwest Topeka Boulevard, Topeka, KS 66612. Exhibits will be open both days. A reception is planned from 4:45-6:30 p.m. on Sept. 22.

• 8:45-9:45 a.m., Sept. 22 – Todd Foley, senior vice president of Strategy Policy & Government Relations for ACORE, will outline the growing role of renewable energy.• 3:45-4:45 p.m., Sept. 22 – Rob Threlkeld, global manager for Renewable Energy with General Motors, will discuss saving money through renewable energy utilization.• 9:30-10:30 a.m., Sept. 23 – A panel of state officials will field questions and discuss energy issues in Kansas.
