Kansas Hispanic Entrepreneurs Expo

The Kansas Hispanic & Latino American Affairs Commission, in collaboration with the Olathe Latino Coalition, will host the Kansas Hispanic Entrepreneurs Expo on Thursday, November 12 in Olathe. The expo will offer entrepreneurs and small business owners networking opportunities.

All communities are welcome to attend the expo. Participants are invited to dinner, where Carlos Fernandez, a Wichita native and high-tech entrepreneur, will be the keynote speaker. There will be a series of workshops offered that are designed to help start and grow businesses. Workshops will be offered at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. and attendees will have the opportunity to participate in one workshop per time.

• 4 p.m. – Resources for starting and growing a business.
• 4 p.m. – Restaurant 101.
• 4 p.m. – Marketing a business and social media.
• 7 p.m. – Developing a business plan.
• 7 p.m. – Introduction to Quick Books
• 7 p.m. – How to handle a family business

The Kansas Hispanic Entrepreneurs Expo will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. on Thursday November 12, at Indian Creek Community Church, 12480 South Blackbob Road, Olathe, Kansas 66062. There is no cost to attend the Hispanic Entrepreneurs Expo. Registration is required to attend, please register at
