Kansas Gov. Sam Brownback announced today his administration will host the Governor’s Economic Summit on Energy on Oct. 4 at the Hyatt Regencyin Wichita. The summit will be the eighth in a series of summits the Governor’s administration is holding focused on growing the Kansas economy and creating jobs.
This summit will bring together state and industry leaders as well as a variety of stakeholders from across Kansas to discuss the growth and economic development of renewable energy, traditional energy and utility transmission in the state of Kansas. Presentations will be given by representatives with Black & Veatch, Shell Oil Company, Siemens Wind Power and Westar Energy prior to a roundtable discussion lead by Brownback.
