GVL Polymers Inc. has announced that it will open a plant in Hesston. The manufacturer of rotational molded, polyethylene parts for agriculture, industrial and commercial industries plans to open a 50,000 square foot facility, where it will employ more than 20 full time workers within its first year of operation.
“It’s great news that GVL Polymers has decided to open a new plant in Hesston,” said Kansas Commerce Secretary Pat George. “The company’s investment in our state is going to create good manufacturing jobs and contribute to the growth of the Kansas economy.”
GVL Polymers Inc. is a privately held corporation with its headquarters in Litchfield, Minn. After 20 years in business, the company is opening its second plant in Hesston. GVL currently employs more than 40 employees at its 50,000 square foot facility in Minnesota. In addition to the company’s proprietary product, poly corn snouts, GVL Poly offers rotational molding, rapid Fused Deposition Modeling prototyping, engineering and design, and other services to original equipment manufacturers.
The company will host an announcement to discuss its new plant at 4 p.m. on Thursday, June 27 at Silverstone Inc., 8515 N. Hesston Road, Hesston. The Kansas Department of Commerce, the Harvey County Economic Development Council and the City of Hesston will have representatives present at the announcement.
